Nicole Benson

EVP, Strategy and Client Experience

Nicole Benson leads the execution of enterprise strategy, helping position Allied for long-term growth, market leadership, and sustained client value. Nicole is responsible for aligning Allied's strategic priorities across its subsidiaries, affiliated businesses and investments, to strengthen client experiences while delivering innovative solutions to financial institutions nationwide. She also works across the enterprise to deepen client relationships and elevate service delivery and create differentiated experiences that strengthen business performance and create measurable business outcomes. She previously led Allied's credit union and alternative finance companies' sales and field servicing responsibilities for the Canadian credit union client segment, expanding Allied into Canada.

 

Experience

Prior to joining Allied in 2024, Nicole was the president and CEO for Valeyo for more than 15 years. A former affiliate of Allied, Valeyo moved to Securian Canada in February 2023. Through her work, Nicole has extensive experience in the Canadian market and supported the transition of Securian Canada sales responsibilities to Allied Solutions. 

Nicole currently serves as the chair for Allied’s United Way annual campaign. She has been the chair of the board of directors for the Canadian Association of Financial Institutions in Insurance, and serves on numerous corporate, industry, and association boards supporting the financial service and insurance sectors.  

 

Education

Nicole has an executive Master of Business Administration in Global Leadership from the University of Fredericton and a bachelor's degree from the Australian Catholic University.
